The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking a part-time Infant Feeding Support Worker to join their infant feeding team at University Hospital Lewisham. This role involves providing practical support to mothers and birthing individuals in the postnatal ward, antenatal care, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, under the supervision of the Infant Feeding Lead Midwife and advisor. Responsibilities include facilitating breastfeeding support workshops, assisting with the implementation of the Baby Friendly Initiative Standards, offering guidance on formula preparation, and providing specialized support for breastfeeding challenges such as tongue tie.

Candidates should possess at least one year of experience as a Health Care Assistant in either a maternity or pediatric ward, with qualifications in breastfeeding support being desirable. The role requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a commitment to respecting the choices and privacy of women/birthing people regarding infant feeding.
