We are looking for a individual with a passion for excellence, who can take forward the nursing workforce and quality agenda for the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Nurse, the candidate will have responsibility in key areas of the chief nurse portfolio - quality and workforce. Working closely with the Chief Nurse Team, the Clinical Service Units and Quality team, the post holder will ensure the delivery of Safe and Sustainable staffing, implement the Nursing and Midwifery recruitment, retention and recognition strategy whilst ensuring we have the right staff, with the right skills, in the right place. Delivering high quality care and nursing and midwifery excellence the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate clinical credibility and have excellent leadership, motivational and communication skills.

The post holder will be expected to deputise for the Chief Nurse and Deputy Chief Nurse, and provide expert advice on professional and clinical issue as required.

Provide strategic leadership, advice and support to the Chief Nurse improving the quality of healthcare and the nursing and midwifery workforce.

Apply systems working as an approach to improve quality of care across a patient's journey.

Work with colleagues across the Trust to identify and resolve the barriers and potential enablers for improvement.

To establish a strong, effective and motivated team of staff who provide professional leadership and effective delivery to continuously improve the quality of care for our patients.

Drive the development and direction of the Trust's harm free care and recruitment and retention work through the development and implementation of projects.

Lead the Trust's safe staffing work through the development and implementation of projects, meeting national guidance and improving the trust staffing position.

Develop relationships with leaders from across the Trust to drive the improvement of quality at all levels in all areas.
