The Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Bed Management and Patient Flow Administrator to join their busy Bed Management & Patient Flow Team in Preston. This role involves supporting the efficient operation of the 24/7 service, which requires handling calls, managing bed placement for patients in adult and older adult mental health services, and collaborating with inpatient and community services, as well as external partners like local Acute Medical Hospitals. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong customer service skills, and be able to work shifts throughout the week.

Key responsibilities include answering calls, managing sensitive information, participating in status updates, maintaining accurate bed state records, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely bed allocation. The role also requires ongoing communication with nursing and management staff to preemptively identify and resolve issues. Overall, this position is crucial for ensuring the timely, courteous, and efficient management of patient flow within the Trust.
