The University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Enhanced Clinical Practitioner (Band 7) or a Trainee Enhanced Clinical Practitioner (Band 6, with progression to Band 7) to join their Urology team in Bournemouth, specifically with a keen interest in Renal and Adrenal surgery. The successful candidate will receive training and support to develop the necessary clinical skills to manage urological patients effectively, working closely with consultants and nursing staff. Key responsibilities include assessing and managing both emergency and elective urological conditions, supporting on-call services, leading post-operative follow-ups, and contributing to the enhancement of patient outcomes and pathways in renal/adrenal surgical care.

The role requires current professional registration and a willingness to engage in non-medical prescribing. The candidate will collaborate with cancer nurse specialists and prioritize a waiting list for minimally invasive surgery, aiming for reduced hospital stays through enhanced recovery protocols. They will also have the opportunity to cross-cover additional surgical areas and contribute to the academic and management aspects of the service, driving improvements in care delivery for patients undergoing complex surgical procedures.
