Greenwood and Wyncroft Surgery is seeking an experienced part-time Practice Nurse to join their team in Bicknacre, working 15 hours per week on Thursdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in a similar role and possess necessary treatment room skills. Greenwood and Wyncroft Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice nurse to join our team on a part-time basis, for 15 hours per week on Thursday and Friday.
The ideal candidate will have worked within a similar practice role and have the relevant treatment room skills.
- Undertaking health assessments, administering medication and treatments, and performing diagnostic tests.
- Providing and evaluating a range of health interventions to ensure that patients health and social care needs are met.
- General health and well-being promotion as well as creating individual, person-centred plans for patients with, or at risk of, a long term condition.
- Managing and treating long-term conditions, in line with national and local policies and the practice needs.
- Reviewing medication for therapeutic effectiveness, in accordance with evidence-based practice as well as national and practice protocols; working with patients to support their adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Prioritising health problems and intervening appropriately.
- Supporting and managing the health needs of women presenting for sexual health and contraception, and cervical cytology consultations.
- Implementing, and participating in, vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children, including patients travelling abroad.
- Meeting the needs of patients presenting for opportunistic wound care.
