Walkden Medical Centre in Manchester is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join its collaborative healthcare team, which includes GPs, ANPs, Practice Nurses, a Healthcare Assistant, and a Phlebotomist. The ideal candidate should be motivated and committed to delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to practice policies and procedures. The centre is known for its strong team culture, high QOF/Salford Standards achievement, and modern facilities.

The Practice Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including long-term condition management, cervical cytology, immunisations, ECGs, and health promotion. This role requires strong decision-making and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage one's own workload. Familiarity with EMIS Web is preferred. Candidates should have prior experience in a GP Surgery and be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for a highly experienced Practice Nurse to join our team. The candidate would be someone who is motivated and committed to providing high quality care. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, ensuring practice policies and procedures are followed.

Ideally the candidate has worked in a GP Surgery, should have a strong emphasis on good teamwork in addition to sound decision making and excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to manage own workload.

Duties will include:- Provide care for the presenting patient, long term condition management, cervical cytology, travel & child immunisations, ECGs, routine injections, family planning, home visits, health promotion, support team with clinical emergencies.

Experience of using EMIS Web would be advantageous.

Job Summary:
The post holder is an experienced nurse, who acting within their professional boundaries will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, treatment and evaluation of their care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within the general practice. They will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.
