The Band 4 Community Wellbeing Officer role with Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust involves supporting individuals in the Birmingham area, particularly those in vulnerable situations, as part of the newly established Direct Access to Wellbeing Service (DAWS). The officer will provide essential signposting, guidance, and practical support to patients and their families both during and after their care with BCHC, focusing on promoting health, wellbeing, and energy efficiency, particularly for those experiencing fuel poverty.

Key responsibilities include engaging with individuals through face-to-face contact and telephone communications, managing project engagement activities, resolving feedback and complaints, and collaborating with various NHS and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive support network. The role emphasises excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to maintain confidentiality, with an overall goal of helping individuals navigate available resources to enhance their quality of life and stay safe at home. The position also offers opportunities for career development and flexible working within a supportive team environment.
