The role of Mental Health Practitioner/Clinical Psychologist with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust offers a unique opportunity to work within a split position across the Specialised Community Paediatrics (SCP) and core Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Manchester. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including occupational and speech therapists, paediatricians, and psychiatrists, to enhance the diagnostic and assessment experience for autistic children and address their mental health needs. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, contributing to autism assessments, managing risks, and offering interventions while ensuring collaboration with local CAMHS teams and participation in continued professional development.

The post-holder is expected to engage in the ongoing co-production of autism services based on feedback from Manchester families, drawing on various data sources to support comprehensive assessments.
