We are delighted to offer this fixed term opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to become part of the pharmacy workforce at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT) based at the Princess Royal University Hospital (Farnborough) site.
The successful candidate will complete a GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) recognised accredited qualification (apprenticeship) that will result in the post holder being able to register with the GPhC as a qualified Pharmacy Technician. The qualification will be a mixture of studying and showing competence within the workplace and successful candidates will be required to participate in a rotational training programme. These rotations include patient services, distribution, aseptics, clinical services and outpatient pharmacy.

About usThe programme will consist of practical training through a structured placement plan within the hospital pharmacy services to gain experience and undergo competence assessments under the supervision of registered Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists in accordance with the policies and procedures of each rotation.
The candidate will also acquire the necessary knowledge to support practical training through an assigned education course provider. The candidate is expected to maintain sufficient progress and meet the requirements of the learning agreements which will be signed and agreed by the trainee, education course provider and the workplace.
