Central Medical Services is seeking a qualified Emergency Care Assistant for a role primarily focused on High Dependency Transfers in Leicester. The position involves providing continuous patient care, effective monitoring, and treatment in line with the assistant's training. Key responsibilities include driving approved ambulance vehicles under various conditions, conducting vehicle checks, and ensuring that all medical and life support equipment is properly maintained and utilized. The role also requires thorough handover reports to other healthcare professionals, basic scene safety assessments, and collaboration with qualified practitioners to deliver high-quality clinical and personal care during emergencies and routine appointments.

The Emergency Care Assistant will support qualified staff in patient transportation and care, working in tandem with paramedics or EMTs across a range of situations, including emergency incidents. This position demands the ability to communicate effectively with carers and other health professionals, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately shared to provide optimal patient care. The role may involve traveling significant distances and performing assigned operational duties to support the overall delivery of clinical, social, and holistic care.
