Bodmin Road Health Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Nurse to join their supportive GP practice, serving a patient population of approximately 9,000. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing chronic disease clinics (e.g., asthma, hypertension, COPD)
- Administering childhood and adult immunisations and vaccinations
- Conducting patient screening clinics, including health promotion and cervical/sexual health screenings
- Collaborating with the wider Practice team and Primary Care Network
- Ensuring safe storage and disposal of vaccines and maintaining appropriate stock levels
The practice is dedicated to staff development and has a high retention rate, indicating a supportive work environment. The ideal candidate should be competent in anaphylaxis and resuscitation techniques.

As a Practice Nurse you will deliver high quality patient care and organisational qualities which will include:
Management of chronic disease clinics
Childhood immunisation programmes and all other aspects of immunisations
National screening procedures
You will also be expected to work collaboratively with the wider Practice team and Primary Care Network.
About us
Administer adult and child immunisations and vaccinations in accordance with national and local programmes. Is competent in anaphylaxis and resuscitation techniques. Ensure safe storage, rotation and disposal of vaccines and drugs and adequate stock levels are maintained.
Conduct patient screening clinics
Management of chronic diseases which includes asthma, hypertension, COPD, CVA-TIA, CHD, and CHD risk assessment and management. Initiates the process of diagnosis with patients suspected to have chronic disease
Maintain disease registers
Initiates and carries our programmes of Health promotion and screening, cervical and sexual health screening.
Conduct Travel Health Clinics
