The Specialist Children and Young Person Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, evidence-based therapy to children and young people within the Halton & Warrington Building Attachment and Bonds Service. Key responsibilities include delivering attachment-informed therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, and support for families dealing with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The practitioner will conduct patient-centered assessments, manage a caseload, and collaborate closely with team members, ensuring an inclusive and stepped care approach while adhering to service protocols and confidentiality standards.

In addition to clinical duties, the role encompasses managerial responsibilities such as monitoring performance indicators and compliance with training, as well as maintaining professional development and contributing to service improvement. The practitioner will engage in supervision and training, uphold best practices in mental health treatment, and stay informed on relevant legislation and policies, ultimately aiming to enhance the mental wellbeing of children and adolescents in the community.
