The Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Trainee Clinical Administration Officer to join the Child Health Department within the Family Care Division. This role is designed for candidates to develop advanced administrative skills over an 18-month training period. Key responsibilities include accurately recording patient data, managing follow-up clinic bookings, maintaining electronic records, and handling correspondence. Candidates should possess GCSEs in English and Maths, strong organisational and communication skills, and relevant office experience.

Initially, the Trainee CAO will focus on basic administrative tasks, such as filing reports, answering phone calls, and typing instructions. Upon successful completion of the training program, the role will expand to include complex administrative tasks, monitoring diagnostic results, and managing patient pathways. Previous knowledge of medical terminology and NHS experience is desirable but not mandatory.
