HOLISTIC MENTAL HEALTH MULTI-DISCIPLINARY NHS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist for their Older Peoples Service in Buxton. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and confident professional with strong communication skills, capable of assessing clients' occupational and functional needs and leading clinical decision-making. The role involves delivering person-centred assessments and therapeutic interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical advice, and adhering to best practice guidelines in Mental Health and Occupational Therapy.
In this dynamic and engaging role, the successful applicant will also support students during their placements, supervise junior staff, and participate as a Duty Worker. There is an emphasis on professional development, offering training and support to enhance skills further. Candidates should possess the interpersonal skills necessary to engage service users and their families effectively, make complex assessments, and create tailored care plans for older adults.

We are looking for a part time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team.
As an Occupational Therapist in the team, you will support patients who would benefit from occupational therapy intervention.
- You will play a key role in delivering holistic, person-centred assessments and therapeutic interventions.
- This will include offering clinical advice on the assessment and intervention of clients' occupational and functional needs.
- You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
- You will embrace the delivery of best practice guidelines for Mental Health and Occupational Therapy.
- Working as Duty Worker is part of this role.
- You will need to be a dynamic clinician with good interpersonal skills to enable engagement of service users and their families or carers.
- You will be able to make complex decisions, formulate detailed assessments and person-centred care plans.
- Supporting students during their placement.
- Supervision of junior staff including Occupational Therapists.
- Professional development, learning, supervision, wider support and training is provided.
