University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Physiotherapist specializing in Orthopaedics to join its dynamic Trauma and Orthopaedic Team. This role is appropriate for Band 5 physiotherapists looking to specialize or current Band 6 professionals wanting to expand their skills. The position involves providing high-quality physiotherapy services across various clinical areas, including fracture clinics, elective wards, and trauma units, with a commitment to a seven-day service, including weekends and late shifts. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering physiotherapy care, managing their own caseload of complex orthopaedic patients, and mentoring junior team members.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role includes supporting the Team Leader, deputizing as necessary, and contributing to service development initiatives. The Physiotherapy Department fosters a supportive and progressive environment, encouraging professional development through training, appraisals, and continuous learning. Preference will be given to internal staff and those with relevant experience, particularly individuals on 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status.
