The role of Trainee Consultant Therapeutic Radiographer (Head and Neck) at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust in Taunton is a training position aimed at developing expertise in delivering holistic, patient-focused care for patients with head and neck cancer. The post holder will manage complete episodes of care, including accepting direct referrals from clinical oncologists, assessing and consenting patients, and planning and authorizing radiotherapy treatments.

As part of their training, the candidate will acquire skills in clinical practice, professional leadership, education, research, and service development. They will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance care pathways, provide expert advice, and support both patients and other healthcare professionals, with a focus on improving cancer services within the Trust.
