The Specialist Clinical & Medicines Information and Advice Pharmacist position at Northampton General Hospital is an engaging role that emphasises the use of clinical expertise in a collaborative environment. The selected pharmacist will work within the Medicines Information and Advice Team, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services, leading various projects, and optimizing medicine management through evidence-based guidance. Responsibilities include managing staff, investigating medication-related incidents, delivering training, and contributing to service evaluation and development efforts.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the pharmacist will support the Medicines Advice Service, offering expert advice to healthcare professionals and patients. The department promotes a strong support system and teamwork among peers, senior pharmacists, and technicians. Continuous professional development is a key aspect of the role, with opportunities to mentor others and participate in training programs.
