CASELOAD NHS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The role of Occupational Therapy Team Lead in Elderly Care at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled occupational therapist with leadership and service development experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management and clinical leadership of the elderly care occupational therapy team across six inpatient wards, including the Hip Fracture Unit. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of patients with complex needs, leading weekly Movement Disorders and Falls MDT Clinics, and providing specialist support and guidance to the team and other healthcare staff.

Applicants should possess extensive NHS experience in inpatient elderly care, demonstrating excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, treatment, and teaching skills. Additionally, strong IT skills and adherence to the Trust's CARE values are essential. A financial incentive of up to £3,000 is offered upon successful appointment, reflecting the Trust's commitment to recognizing the value of new team members.
