Job Summary: Enhanced Nurse Practitioner - Medical Retina
Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and motivated ophthalmic nurse for the Enhanced Nurse Practitioner role in the Medical Retina Service. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive ongoing care for patients with Medical Retina conditions, managing a caseload primarily involving Intravitreal injections and interpreting diagnostic imaging such as OCT scans and Fundus wide-field images.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Autonomously administering Intravitreal injections and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Line managing staff and collaborating with the multi-professional team to establish diagnoses and monitor disease progression.
  • Conducting holistic assessments and providing patient education and support.
  • Upholding high standards of care and proactively addressing patients’ changing clinical needs.
  • Participating in the development of advanced ophthalmic practice competencies with supervision from senior nursing and medical staff.
  • Maintaining effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
