Psicon is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Canterbury to specialize in autism and ADHD assessments for children and adolescents aged 5-18. Key responsibilities include conducting thorough developmental histories, observing and engaging with young patients in a compassionate manner, reviewing relevant documentation, and delivering clear diagnostic feedback to families. The role also involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team when necessary, producing detailed diagnostic reports following DSM-5 standards within 48 hours, and managing onward referrals as needed.

The position offers flexibility in working days and the option for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Psychiatrists can expect up to four assessments daily, compensated on a competitive basis, with additional support for administrative tasks. There's a commitment to continuous professional development, providing free training opportunities for further assessments in areas like ADHD.
