The role of a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Annex 21) at St Helens with Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust offers an opportunity for a Band 6 therapist to enhance their skills in treating complex communication and swallowing disorders within a collaborative interdisciplinary team at the Seddon Specialist Rehabilitation Unit. The position caters to adults with acquired and progressive neurological conditions and includes responsibilities such as comprehensive assessments, formulating and delivering tailored treatment plans, managing a dysphagia caseload, and training junior staff members.
