The County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to enhance its Health Informatics team, focusing on optimizing and developing the electronic prescribing and medication administration system. This role, which offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements, will involve leading pharmacy informatics projects, overseeing the integration of clinical IT systems, and ensuring that these systems support safe medication practices across the Trust. The successful candidate will provide extensive training and support to healthcare professionals, monitor system performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to continually improve digital health systems.

Additionally, the position entails maintaining an active clinical portfolio, offering expert advice on electronic prescribing, and supporting the integration of pharmacy systems within broader Trust initiatives. The Senior Clinical Pharmacist will also be responsible for proactive education efforts aimed at promoting safe medication usage and addressing local prescribing challenges, as well as supporting medicines procurement and formulary processes.
