York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Band 7 Senior Biomedical Scientist in Haematology at Scarborough Hospital, part of the SHYPS Network. The successful candidate will provide senior BMS support specifically for Coagulation and Morphology, act as a training officer, and take on delegated operational responsibilities. Applicants must be HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientists with a relevant postgraduate qualification in Haematology and are encouraged to have experience in quality management, training, or leadership.

The position includes supervising and developing staff at various levels, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and collaborating with colleagues at the York site for consistent procedures. The laboratory utilizes advanced technology, including Sysmex analysers and a telepath LIMS system.
