The Service Manager - External and Cataract at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will play a crucial role in overseeing key service delivery areas within the Cataract and External Services. Collaborating closely with the Deputy Divisional Manager, the post holder will prioritize work demands, communicate effectively with diverse teams, and lead initiatives to enhance service performance and patient experience. Responsibilities include achieving performance targets, managing data and financial monitoring, resolving operational issues, and supporting the Trust's performance management framework through comprehensive analysis and reporting.

Additionally, the Service Manager will handle formal complaint investigations, ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, and foster strong communication and collaboration among clinical and administrative staff. The role requires a proactive approach to addressing areas such as outpatient efficiency, clinical quality, and coding accuracy, while also providing support on various projects and potentially deputizing for the Deputy Divisional Manager. Effective leadership and problem-solving skills will be essential for maintaining high-quality service and optimizing patient care.
