The Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit is seeking a Research Assistant for its Strategy Unit in Birmingham, offering a salary of £26,530 (Band 4). The successful candidate will join the Evaluation Team and engage in various projects that support healthcare providers and government organisations by delivering evidence-informed analysis and advice. The role requires an individual with an interest in social research and evaluation, along with a relevant undergraduate qualification and some experience in applied qualitative research methods.

As a Research Assistant, key responsibilities include executing specific tasks within complex projects under the guidance of a project manager, managing multiple tasks effectively while meeting tight deadlines, and understanding project risks and interdependencies. The role emphasises the development of evaluation skills, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and undertaking initiatives to better understand the health and care policy landscape.
