The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals for the role of Clinical Support Worker in the Emergency Department at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. The position involves supporting and assisting Registered Nurses in providing nursing care to patients, including conducting clinical observations, documenting care, and performing minor injury treatments. While prior experience in acute care is preferred, it is not a requirement, as training and support will be provided.

The role includes a shift system and participation in patient streaming and rapid assessment processes designed to enhance patient experiences. Successful candidates will contribute to both the Emergency Department and the Minor Injury treatment service, which operates from 8 am to 8 pm. An opportunity has arisen for additional Clinical Support Workers to join the Emergency Department Team at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and motivated individuals ideally with acute care experience but this is not essential as training and support will be provided.

We have developed and grown so much over the last few years we have introduced streaming and rapid assessment at the front door for a better patient experienced and journey which you will be involved it.

We also cover the Minor Injury treatment which is open 8am - 8pm - we cover that also.

A shift system is in operation.

Work in support of and under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), providing nursing care and assistance to patients within defined parameters specified by the Registered Nurse.

Record patient information.

Provide basic patient care and document that care in the patient records.
