The NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (WYICB) is seeking a qualified nurse for the role of Specialist Health Practitioner for Safeguarding Children and Adults in Wakefield. The successful candidate will join a collaborative safeguarding team focusing on enhancing safeguarding practices within primary care for both children and adults. Key responsibilities include developing training, facilitating quality improvement projects, providing expert advice, and supporting the coordination of statutory safeguarding reviews. Applicants must possess a relevant degree, extensive experience in safeguarding within healthcare and multi-agency settings, and demonstrate a strong understanding of related legislation and policy.

The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to analyze complex situations, and a flexible approach to workload management. The practitioner will work closely with Named GPs and GP Practice Safeguarding Leads to ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding responsibilities while contributing to the overall health and care strategy for the Bradford District and Craven region.
