Band 3: £24,071 to £25,674 a year per annum (pro rata)  PERMANENT 
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative/data support to the cardiovascular research team including seeking internal department approvals, site file management in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), document management and clinic preparation.

The Cardiovascular Research Department are looking for an enthusiastic motivated individual to join our ever expanding delivery team as Research administrator, supporting a number of dynamic research studies within cardio but also the wider Tees Valley Research Alliance, (TVRA).

The post holder will support the cardiovascular research team ,as well as the whole TVRA if needed,providing administrative and data support to ensure the successful delivery of many research trials and to provide a smooth effective patient journey. This support will cover all specialties within the cardiovascular portfolio and may involve the main research and development department.

The applicant must be motivated, have excellent organisational and communication skills and be computer literate.

We work in a team environment that encourages collaborative team working but also supports lone working. Background knowledge in research trial is required but on the job training will be given to the successful candidate.

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative/data support to the cardiovascular research team including seeking internal department approvals, site file management in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), document management and clinic preparation. The post holder will be involved in study set up, providing localised documentation and updated GCP & CV's from clinical staff to the sponsors.

The post holder will also input national data into the Local Portfolio Management System ensuring regular and accurate updates are carried out.

The post holder will use extensive communication skills, when dealing with patients and families, compassionate and professionalism is essential. Communication methods will include verbal, written and digital. Tact and diplomacy will be needed when dealing with researchers, representatives from commercial/academic companies and clinicians within the work area, also when dealing with enquiries in an appropriate and professional manner with a focus on providing a quality driven patient care.

The post holder will provide support to the team in study monitoring, including setting up monitoring visits, preparing paperwork, liaising with research team to ensure PI and nurse availability and patient notes and site files are available. This will also include accompanying monitor to assist with monitor visit.
