An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge nurse nurses to join the team in the ever developing Same Day Emergency Care service.
SDEC's main aim is to reduce hospital admissions and improve patient safety and satisfaction.
SDEC sees a wide range of patients from the UTC, GP's and direct admissions from EMAS. These patients have a wide range of medical conditions, we aim to streamline the patients journey by delivering assessment, diagnosis and a treatment plan in the same day.
Grantham SDEC also provide a medical day case service which supports patients with biological infusions, venesections, blood transfusions and many other treatments.
The successful candidates will work within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment making good communication skills a necessity
Due to the nature of the post-extended skills such as IV additives, IV cannulation, Phlebotomy, ECG's are desirable.
The successful candidate will support the B7 Sister in managing the day to day running of the department.
The post holder will work flexibly doing 11.5hr shifts currently set over a 5 day week.
