The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic candidates for a Locally Employed Doctor position equivalent to ST3 in Acute Medicine at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield. This fixed-term role spans 12 months and involves working on a general medical on-call rota, which includes nights and weekends. The position offers exposure to various clinical environments, including the Medical Assessment Unit, Acute Medical Unit, and Same Day Emergency Care Unit. The role emphasises communication with patients and colleagues, support for junior team members, and involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, along with opportunities for professional development and training in focused ultrasound.

Candidates will participate actively in ward rounds, practical procedures, and teaching sessions, alongside contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the department.
