Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Practice Nurse for a 12-month fixed-term contract at Pinhoe View, a newly established facility in Exeter that provides mental health services for adults with acute conditions. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance service users' physical health, conduct risk assessments, liaise with GP services, supervise junior staff, and implement screening processes. Ideal candidates will possess relevant nursing qualifications, NMC registration, and experience in similar environments.

As a Practice Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting and encouraging service users to improve their physical health, while also contributing to risk assessments, liaising with the GP service, supervising junior staff, and implementing screening processes.

What you will be doing

As a Practice Nurse, you will support the Mental Health service for people to build a brighter future, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork.

Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will support and encourage service users to improve their physical health and will be responsible for risk assessments, liaising with our GP service, supervising junior staff and implementing screening processes.

No two days are the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.

To be successful as Practice Nurse, you’ll need

RGN experience

Relevant nursing qualification

NMC registration

Experience in a similar environment.

Pinhoe View is a new purpose-built facility where a range of mental health services are provided for adults with acute mental health conditions across two wards and eight individual flats. The 24-hour acute inpatient service is supported by a full multidisciplinary team, which specialises in the assessment, treatment and stabilisation of people suffering from a significant mental health episode and in crisis
