Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or other constructional function.

We are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Site Engineering Manager to work within the Facilities Management Department (FMD) managing and assisting with refurbishments and other similar works at the Colindale site. You will be an energetic self-starter, contributing to the vigor of a busy, high performing FMD team. You are an experienced and well qualified Engineer/Project Manager but can demonstrate how you have used your skills to transform the workplace and the way people work. Your communication and stakeholder management skills are second to none and you will be able to show how you have led and influenced at a senior level to get changes made. You will always have one eye on the customer and set high standards of quality of delivery and behaviour. You are able to work on your own or as part of a team and organise your time efficiently. You should have some knowledge of FM and related construction projects. You must be confident and credible, able to influence and build consensus at the highest levels of the organisation.

We are looking for someone with great communication skills and a team ethos that can bring people together to deliver change and contribute to the wider Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) community.

This post is based full-time on site at our Colindale location.

  • To monitor site plant and equipment, trend data as provided by the computerised maintenance management system and liaise with the maintenance teams/users, to recommend and manage remedial work, process improvements/initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to the wider FM and administering business process related tasks through the computerised maintenance management system e.g. Maximo, Planet, MaPs, Trackwise.
  • Represent the Engineering function at regulatory audits as subject matter expert.
  • Review of contracting and engineering technical regulatory documents as required to support the Engineering function including review of Safety related documents such as pressure systems written schemes of examination.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and liaising with the Trust's Estates and Engineering Departments and their maintenance technicians and engineers to establish the root cause, develop and manage appropriate corrective action plans. Report, where appropriate, through the UKHSA Trackwise system, for failures/performance issues relating to site engineering systems.
  • Ensure that change control documentation is raised at the appropriate time for all changes to high containment facilities.
  • Manage any non-conformances.
  • Monitor and report on KPI's of both the engineering group and FMD for engineering maintenance and facilities.
  • Maintain, update and carry out regular system and service audits on contractors.
  • Line management responsibility for Project Managers.

  • actively support the management of FMD in their daily operations carrying out audits for financial, commercial and technical.
