The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 8b Practitioner Psychologist for a full-time, two-year fixed term position within their new Children & Young People's Gender Service in Greater London. This role involves a blended focus, working 0.5 wte in the Gender Service, which provides assessment and therapeutic support for children and young people experiencing gender-related distress, and 0.5 wte in an allocated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). Candidates should possess relevant experience in child and adolescent mental health settings and be able to showcase their training in therapeutic models.

The Practitioner Psychologist will be responsible for delivering highly specialized psychological assessments, interventions, and leading the integration of a psychologically informed framework within both services. The role emphasises collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to address various issues, including trauma and developmental disorders, while also involving supervision, teaching, training, and research.
