St Andrew's Healthcare is seeking a Qualified or Newly Qualified Occupational Therapist to join their Specialist Recovery Division in Northampton, focusing on low secure services at Spencer House. This role involves supporting two male inpatient wards for individuals aged 18-65 experiencing various mental health issues. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with a dedicated OT team, contribute to patient care through meaningful occupation, and engage in assessment and treatment for both groups and individuals. The position also offers mentorship from Specialist OTs, opportunities for innovation, and a commitment to professional development, including training OT students.

Candidates should possess experience in secure settings, a solid understanding of mental health and associated diagnoses, and familiarity with theoretical frameworks that inform practice. Excellent communication skills are essential for building professional relationships within the multi-disciplinary team and external agencies. The role emphasises a proactive attitude, risk assessment capabilities, and a dedication to enhancing the field of occupational therapy.
