The role of Senior Health Care Assistant in the Emergency Department at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust involves providing high-quality care to patients of all ages, supporting the Healthcare Assistant team, and managing clinical workloads. Candidates should have advanced skills, enabling them to perform procedures such as venepuncture, cannulation, and assist with minor injuries under indirect supervision from registered staff. Responsibilities also include conducting health assessments, maintaining documentation, and participating in the training and mentorship of junior staff, while upholding patient confidentiality and adhering to trust policies.

Preference for the position will be given to internal Trust staff and those with 'Priority' or 'At Risk' status within the NHS.
