The Senior Radiographer/Mammographer position at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers female candidates an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team that delivers specialized mammography services across various sites, including Aintree, Royal, Broadgreen hospitals, and mobile screening units in Knowsley and Sefton. While prior mammography experience is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite, as the Trust provides full training and covers costs for further education, including a postgraduate certificate in mammography. The role involves effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals, adherence to safety regulations, and participation in quality assurance protocols to ensure optimal diagnostic practices.

Candidates should possess a B.Sc. degree in Radiography, relevant post-qualification experience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Responsibilities include providing mammography services, ensuring patient care and safety, training junior staff, and engaging in departmental policy development. The position also requires a high degree of precision in technical skills, decision-making regarding diagnostic approaches, and contributing to research and audits to improve practices within the breast screening service. Full and part-time roles are available, accommodating staff across multiple locations.
