Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6) to join their Haematology and Blood Transfusion department in Slough. The role involves working in a comprehensive laboratory setting that includes General Haematology, Coagulation, and Blood Transfusion, utilizing advanced analysers such as the Alinity H, ACL TOP, and IBG Galileo. The successful candidate will be part of a forward-thinking team, with opportunities for personal and professional development, including access to courses up to a Master's degree.

The position requires a full rota commitment, with shifts covering nights and weekends. The laboratory is undergoing upgrades and is accredited under UKAS ISO:15189 and MHRA standards, as well as being recognized as a training facility by the IBMS for HCPC registration. We have a post within the Haematology and Blood Transfusion department available for an experienced Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6).

You will work in rotation within all sections of the laboratory, namely General Haematology, Coagulation, Blood Transfusion. The laboratory is well equipped with Alinity H and ACL TOP analysers. Blood Transfusion utilises IBG Galileo Blood Group Analyser.

This is an exciting time within the laboratory as we are in the process of upgrading our laboratory area and analysers.

This is a full Rota position that includes working shifts, nights (including consecutive nights) and weekends.
