CASE MANAGER CASELOAD MENTAL HEALTH MULTI-DISCIPLINARY NHS SLT SOCIAL WORK VEHICLE
The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to work with adults with learning disabilities as part of the Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership (LDP). This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred healthcare, promoting the independence and wellbeing of clients.

Key responsibilities include managing a complex caseload, providing assessments and treatments for communication and swallowing needs, and contributing to the planning and development of learning disability services. The SLT will also supervise other staff and students, participate in multi-agency work, and provide clinical advice within the LDP.

Candidates must have a valid UK driving licence and be able to travel independently across the county. Proficiency in assessment techniques, AAC methods, and understanding sensory impairments is essential. The role requires effective management of complex cases and the ability to engage with service users, particularly during times of crisis. The therapist will also focus on reducing health inequalities for individuals with learning disabilities.
