The Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a sub-specialty interest in Oculoplastics to join their team at Leighton Hospital in Crewe. This replacement position entails participation in both General Ophthalmology and specialized Oculoplastic services, contributing to a comprehensive Ophthalmic care team alongside other consultants and support staff. Candidates must have full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or nearing completion of their training. The role includes a commitment of 6 Programmed Activities per week, with flexibility in working patterns encouraged.

In addition to clinical duties, the successful applicant will engage in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, ensuring the supervision and development of trainees. The department provides numerous resources, including Specialty Doctors, Ophthalmic Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and a robust nursing support team. The anticipated on-call commitment is 1 in 8, and shortlisted candidates will be required to visit the department prior to interview, with the proposed Appointment Advisory Committee date set for March 5, 2025.
