The successful candidate will be fully trained in MRI and have proven clinical skills in a wide variety of examinations and scan techniques. Previous experience in CT would be beneficial and the post will provide the opportunity to develop your clinical skills further in both modalities.
Patients must be at the forefront of your practice and you will be joining our friendly team, working together to deliver excellent patient care, whilst maintaining a high quality and responsive diagnostic service, in line with the Trust core values.
You will be expected to maintain high clinical standards and share this practice with junior staff and students.
You must have excellent communication and organisational skills, a commitment to CPD and a practical knowledge of radiation protection, legislation and health and safety requirements. A flexible approach to working will be required.
You will possess DCR (R) or BSc Radiography with current HCPC registration.
NHS experience is essential.
We actively encourage Post Graduate study and role extension. We currently have many radiographers who undertake Advanced Practice and this will continue to expand.
We operate a 7 day service covered by a shift system. Our shift patterns accommodate flexible working arrangements.

To assist the Team Lead radiographers and CT/MRI Modality Lead Radiographer to ensure effective day to day management of workload and resources prioritising workload as required ensuring best delivery of services.
To assist in developing and updating MRI /CT imaging techniques to enhance the service provided in concordance with best practice.
Supervision of band 5 radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, and student radiographers working in their designated work area.
To perform a comprehensive range of MRI/CT and general radiographic procedures without supervision both within the departmental and externally.
To take part in both the extended working day and emergency duty rotas.
To contribute to the service improvement and business planning processes.
To provide patients with a good quality cost effective imaging service, and to continually develop the service to incorporate modern advances in imaging
