This is a position for a Second Chef in a care home operated by Barchester Healthcare. The role involves assisting the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavorsome, and well-balanced menus while working closely with residents to cater to their preferences. The Second Chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, assisting with menu development, working with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, creating a warm and efficient work environment, and managing stock control and regular audits. The successful candidate will have a personable and warm approach, a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents, and experience working with fresh seasonal food.
