The post holder will act as a Lead Practitioner for the Lithotripsy Service within the Urology Diagnostic Centre and will be primarily responsible for performing and providing specialist expertise and guidance on Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) procedures to treat kidney stones, utilising either x-ray or ultrasound guidance.
The post holder will also be responsible for managing the lithotripsy unit for the provision of a high-quality, efficient and patient-centred service, coordinating with key stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams and the Urology department to manage patient pathways and deliver continuous improvement.
The post-holder will undertake clinical work within established quality standards of practice for imaging and urology (including NICE, BAUS, RCR, SoR and BMUS) and ionising radiation safety legislation (including IRMER and IRR17).
