The "Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship" at Dartford with the Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust is an ideal opportunity for motivated individuals eager to build a career in pharmacy. Over a two-year period, apprentices will develop essential skills and knowledge while adhering to GPhC and Trust standards. The program includes practical experience across various settings, with one day a week in a busy hospital dispensary, and additional days spent with the KMPT and Darent Valley Acute Trust, alongside college studies.
Apprentices will engage in multiple activities such as dispensary duties, medicine management, patient safety, and participating in audits and quality improvement projects. They will also gain insights into the mental health act, attend forensic units under supervision, shadow pharmacists, and take part in departmental training schemes to support their professional development. Overall, the program aims to foster growth within the KMPT Mental Health Trust pharmacy team while meeting high standards of care.

We are looking for individuals who strives to deliver high standards and can support our department to meet Trust values.As a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician you will spend two years building a portfolio of skills and knowledge, and demonstrate behaviours that follow GPhC and Trust standards.
Those two years will be filled with many opportunities to grow and develop within our KMPT Mental Health Trust pharmacy team. This will include one day a week working in a busy hospital dispensary, as well as focusing on medicine management, patient safety and the supply of medication.
You will be expected to work two days a week with KMPT, two days with Darent valley acute Trust and one day at College.
