The role of Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department for Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust involves coordinating various areas within the department, including the resuscitation zone and a co-located Urgent Care Centre, while providing high-quality care to adult and pediatric patients. Candidates should possess strong triage skills, be able to take charge independently, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The position offers extensive development opportunities, including access to accredited emergency care courses, Advanced Life Support training, and support from Clinical Practice Education teams to enhance professional skills.

In addition to clinical duties, the Junior Sister/Charge Nurse will oversee junior staff, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and resources for patient care. The role includes responsibilities for optimizing patient discharge processes, maintaining accurate nursing documentation, and implementing safe practices in accordance with Trust policies.
