The North Kensington Medical Centre in London is seeking a newly qualified General Practitioner (GP) for a fixed-term role of 5 months, with the possibility of extension. This position involves working two sessions a week in a traditional two-partner led GP practice that values both the benefits of traditional General Practice and the potential for innovative patient care. The GP will function autonomously within a primary care setting, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, while also providing expert professional advice and ensuring clinical excellence. Additional responsibilities include training FY2 doctors, maintaining comprehensive clinical records, and participating in audits.

Candidates should have experience working in primary care, continuous professional development, and familiarity with QOF and clinical audits. The ideal applicant is a newly qualified GP with less than two years of post-qualification experience and has not previously held a substantive position at a GP Practice. A general understanding of the primary care contract is also beneficial.

Fixed Term 5 months with a view to extension subject to national DES contracting.

We are traditional two partner led GP practices and we try and keep the best features of traditional General Practice while looking to make the most of new opportunities for our patients.

Due to the changes in the ARRS Scheme to introduce General Practitioners we are looking to expand our team by seeking to employ a newly qualified General Practitioner to join our team for two sessions a week.

To perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting.

Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence. To be involved in the provision of education and training to FY2 doctors and other staff.

To be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct ensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care is primary.

Providing counselling and health education

Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate

Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards

Collecting data for audit purposes

Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions

Prescribing in accordance with the ICB prescribing formulary whenever this is clinically appropriate
