We are looking for an exceptional individual to support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NHS Coventry and Warwickshire ICB to deliver their responsibilities and strategic agenda. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic role at the heart of our health system. The role will have an unparalleled view across multiple NHS and partner organisations, giving the opportunity to be involved with interesting, complex and high-profile work across a range of strategic agendas.
The successful candidate will be able to seamlessly coordinate and manage the competing pressures that arise thus enabling the CEO to focus on their priorities. You will also be responsible for supporting the Chair in helping them to deliver their various responsibilities across the breadth of their remit.
You will need to be motivated, pro-active and a self-starter. You will be adept at navigating the political landscape and willing to grow your networks and build new relationships in order to deliver your objectives. This role will offer you the opportunity to hone and develop the skills you already have to the next level as well as developing new skills in this role.
The assessment process will be face to face at our offices in Warwick and comprise of an assessment exercise followed by an interview.
- Taking responsibility for leadership of the Office of the Chief Executive and enabling the CEO to fulfil their responsibility as Accountable Officer. Working closely with and on behalf of the CEO to ensure consistency in approach and ensuring there is a focus on the strategic priorities of the ICB. Acting as counsel and advisor to the CEO and providing tactical support in managing the highest-level risks to the organisation.
- Being involved in relationship management with external partners, including defining, prioritising, and overseeing the CEO's direct communication and external engagement with key stakeholders including other NHS, Local Government, Regional and National Partners, Regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Preparing high-quality correspondence, briefing notes and presentations for and on behalf of the CEO and Chair of the ICB to enable the progression of their priorities across a range of complex agendas.
- Leading on complex, highly sensitive projects which involve multiple organisations, both internally and externally. Using your planning and co-ordination skills, and influencing skills to move the ICB forward in deploying its strategy.
- Reviewing, analysing and interpreting the complex national agenda, changes in the NHS and wider external environment and the internal environment. Turning insight and innovation into the ICB's Strategic Direction development and identifying potential risks to the ICB.
