How can I make a difference?



Skills


This service is the home of 4 caring and social individuals with mental health and learning disabilities. These individuals are like a little family who support and care for one another. They have a varied degree of independence and some enjoy going out on their own. As a support worker, you will be working with these incredible individuals to enhance their various skills and support them with daily activities.
Duties will include:


  • Providing support with personal care
  • Medication
  • attending health appointments
  • Advocating on behalf of the individuals supported
  • Support with daily classes, social clubs and social activities within the community.


What skills and experience do you need?


A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.  More important are;

  • A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
  • An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player

  • Competitive salary of £23, 376 FTE, £12.15 p/h
  • Wakeful nights rate - £12.15 + 20%
  • Sleep in rate - £62.64
  • 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
