We are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic, experienced professional with excellent communication skills who wants to make a positive difference to join the Infection Prevention and Control Team.
Infection Prevention and Control is a Trust priority and the Team have developed in the last year and work 7 days per week.

The Post Holder Will
- Contribute advisory and clinical input to facilitate quality infection prevention and control care for patients
- Provide clinical advice, leadership, support and counselling for patients, relatives and the general public on hospital infection prevention and control issues
- Provide advice on infection prevention and control activities including isolation, with participation in their introduction and practice
- Recognise, investigate and implement the necessary action to resolve HCAI issues
- Investigate outbreaks of hospital infection, with particular reference to their source and mode of spread
- Identify potential infection hazards for patients, staff, equipment or procedures
- Assist staff with the interpretation of laboratory reports relevant to the control of infection and relating relevant clinical information to the laboratory staff
- Collect relevant clinical data for use by the Infection Prevention and Control Department
