Job Overview
**INTERNAL VACANCY**
We are looking for a professional, organised and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to provide an efficient and comprehensive support to the Cleanliness Management Team.
You'll embrace the challenge of working in a highly demanding environment where excellent customer service skills and attention to detail are paramount. The need to be flexible is required, along with the ability to work to ever changing demands and priorities. The workload is varied; therefore, you must be able to prioritise your work with minimal supervision, as well as working as part of a team.
Core hours of work are 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday, however flexibility to cover the needs of the service is required .
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the cleaning service to the trust ensuring that the highest standard of environmental hygiene is delivered at all times in accordance with National Standards of Cleanliness and in line with the Operational Cleaning Plan.
- The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness are consistently delivered through the effective use of resources and that staff are managed in accordance with trust policy.
- To assist the Cleanliness Manager in the recruitment and retention of staff.
- To ensure that all resources are effectively deployed to ensure standards are maintained.
- To manage staff leave to ensure that disruption to service is avoided.
- To undertake cleanliness monitoring in line with Departmental guidelines taking corrective action where necessary.
- To participate in PLACE/Efficacy and Exemplar audits as required.
- To order and control stock .
- To maintain equipment inventories compiling replacement programmes as required.
- To ensure staff induction and annual refresher training maintaining and updating staff records accordingly.
- To undertake staff appraisal and performance review, to include the management of probationary periods
- To assist the Cleanliness Manager with first line disciplinary and grievance issues and incidents
