An exciting opportunity has arisen to work withing a supportive and innovative service in Bolton. The role is to work as an Assistant Psychologist under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist in the delivery of psychology services to the EDIT (Early Detection and Intervention Service). This service works with people from age 14-35 who are at risk of developing psychosis. This is a proactive service that supports people to understand their experiences and aims to prevent developing more distressing psychosis through early detection and intervention. The role will involve supporting CBT therapists in the delivery of psychological intervention and supporting social inclusion and engagement with their community to promote meaningful recovery. The role is supervised by a Clinical Psychologist with opportunities offered to support CPD. The role is based within the same office as a vibrant and welcoming MDT Early Intervention for Psychosis team.

To support and enhance the psychological care of clients within the EDIT service.

This will involve undertaking clinical assessments, assisting in the delivery of psychological interventions and to carry out clinical audit, and project work as required.

To work independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified Clinical Psychologist and within the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures. To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects/ service evaluation, teaching and project work.

The post holder will be based within the multi-professional Bolton Early Intervention Team. There will be the need to travel around Bolton and the Greater Manchester region at times
